Plaid Tidings for Bruno and Kylie’s Demonstrator Support Blog Hop!

Today,  I am so excited to participate in Bruno and Kylie’s Demonstrator Support Program Blog Hop!

This is a Blog hop involving Demonstrators from all over the world who have signed up for the Business support program. This is a wonderful group and I am so honoured to be amongst so many talented Stampin up! Demonstrators!

This month, the theme is Thank you cards and I pulled out my brand new Celebration Tidings Bundle for my card today. I just love all the celebration labels dies and there are so many different greetings in this set.

For my card, I used two different patterns from the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. This DSP is so gorgeous and I love how the colors go together on so many of the different patterns. There are so many things you can do with scraps of DSP to use them up and make something pretty! Here I have used 1/2″ strips of co-ordinating patterns.

For my ribbon, I used the Balmy Blue Blends to color the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. I love that we can make any matching ribbon using the amazing Stampin Blends.

Here’s the list of all the other amazing demonstrators participating in today’s blog hop! Have fun stopping by all the blogs and seeing the creations they have out together for you! Please leave a comment as it will make our day to hear from you!

Butterfly Beauty for GDP #252

Today, I was so exited to play along with  the Global Design Project #252  challenge for this week!

The challenge is to Case a card by the talented Emma Goddard. Check out her card that we are to use for inspiration…

I just love Emma’s card and I was especially inspired by the water-colour wash technique she used on the background. So, today I did my morning “Coffee and a Card” Facebook live video using Emma’s card as an inspiration. You can click here to watch my video on my Facebook Business page.

Here’s a look at my card…

I started with a piece f the Fluid 100 Watercolor paper that measures 4 x 51/4″. I used my Aqua painters and a drop of reinkers to add the wash to the background. I started at the top using daffodil Delight, then Calypso Coral and finally some pumpkin pie at the bottom.

Next, I used the Butterfly Beauty Dies and whisper white card stock to cut the main image for the focal point of my card. The die is large with lots of butterflies so I just used my paper snips and removed three of the butterflies form the edges. I will use them on a later card 🙂 I also cut two smaller butterflies using scrap pieces of Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral.

My Stampin Blends markers came in handy for colouring the die cut image. I used a combination of Dark and Light Calypso Coral, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight shades to add the different colors to my butterflies. I popped up the die cut image using Mini Dimensional

I stamped the greeting using Memento Black Ink. I also colored some Rhinestones using my Calypso Coral Blends markers and I embellished the butterflies with them.

I made two cards, because you know… I might as well make two if I’m cutting a sheet of cardstock in half right?

My second card is a little lighter as I used mostly Daffodil delight for the Water color wash effect. Just goes to show that no two cards are ever exactly the same in card making, right?

Here’s a look at the supplies i used to make my cards today…

Thank you so much for checking my blog today! I appreciate any comments you may have about my projects today!

Happy Stamping!!
