Well I survived!! Yes,and it was great!! You know how they say sometimes that the things that you fear …you should try because you may actually be surprised how easy it is? Well that's what it was like yesterday for my workshop wow presentation!! Actually it really helped having some great ladies from my downline there to give me tons of support! Thanks girls!!!
Yesterday was the Calgary Regional Seminar for Stampin up! demonstrators and guests. It was held at the Telus Convention Center and there were about 450 demonstrators in attendance. I was very excited because they hold these events in different cities around the country and this was the first Regional held in Calgary since 2005.
Everything went great! I focused my presentation on how to make fun gifts and home decor items using our New Stencils. I demonstrated to use dimensional paint and our re-inkers to make your own Stampin Up! color for your stencil. Then I showed them all the things I've made with the stencils…like my watering can, gift bags, the cover of a 12×12 album and a pillow cover.
At the end of my presentation Shelli gave me a big hug and a card with a gift for any stamp set of my choice!! Whoo Hoo! I wasn't expecting that!
Many people came up to me later and said that they would definitely be trying some of these projects when they got home! Stampin Up! Demos are the best! When you are in a room filled with 450 demos..you feel tons of energy from them!!! I can't even begin to describe how supportive everyone is of ech other!
Here are some pics that Michaelea too. Thanks Michaelea!!
Here's Shelli …she always looks so nice!
Me and the camera man (Tom)…he's such nice guy!! He's a very soft-spoken gentleman! He is always on stage with the demos at all the events. So he's totally used to being around nervous ladies as they are demonstrating! Hee Hee! There was another cameraman in front but you can't see him.
Here's me showing the pillow I made and you can also see the watering can too. I gave that one to Shannon to take back to the home office with her. We had to pick one of our projects for them to take back with them.
Getting a hug from Shelli! Such a sweet lady!!
So you see….if I can do this anyone can!!
I also came back with tons of great swap cards too! Can't wait to see you soon and share them with you!
Thanks for looking!
Loved your workshop wow! You did a fabulous job and I will definitely be trying some of them out! I loved the little bags you made – which dollar store did you get them at?
Congratulations Rose!!!!!
What an experience and accomplishment. Wish I was there to see your creations. But I was home sick with my 2 little ones and working on blogs (LOL).
It was a pleasure working with you. Looking forward to our training and really love the look of your blog!!! Beautiful 😀
