Happy Saturday!
For today's post I would like to share with you a fun gift ensemble. It includes a a matching card, necklace box and earrings box.
It also features the beautiful wings Embosslit from the Occasions Mini which I am happy to say is still available. Yes! Stampin up! has informed us that they will still have this embosslit available now and it will be in the upcoming new idea book and Catalogue on July st . (item code: 118138 $15.95)
The dimensions for the necklace box are included as well.
Hope you like it!
Here's the Ensemble:
The necklace box (details below)
Inside:
Heres are the details on how to make the box:
The box base dimensions are :
Cut cardstock 10 x 8 1/2 inches, score at 2 inches on all four sides. Cut on the lines up to the intersecting lines on two sides.
Like this:
Apply sticky strip to the tabs and fold up into a square shape.
Now for the insert: (the part that the necklace is hung on. In my project I took it a step further and covered the insert with a square piece of felt just to make it nice to hang the necklace on)
Cut cardstock 8 3/8 inches x 7 inches. Score at 1 1/4 inches on all four sides. Cut on the score lines up to the intersecting lines on two sides.
Apply sticky strip to the tabs like this:
Here's the base of the box with the insert inside:
Now for the lid:
Cut cardstock 6 5/8 inches x 8 1/8 inches. Score at 1 inch on all four sides. Cut on the score lines up to the intersecting lines on two sides.
Next I cut an oval shape out of the inside of the lid and I used the Big shot with the Oval Scallop Frame Die (114521 $26.95) and cut the outline for the oval. then I ran it through my Perfect Polka dots Impressions folder. Which is also still available from the last mini! (117335 $10.95)
Finally I just added a piece of transparency sheet inside to make the window.
Another note on this box…. I love that this box is also the perfect size for our standard cards. That means you could make this box and fill it with some handmade cards for a lovely gift!
If you like (or not) this project I would love to have your comments. Thanks!
Check back tomorrow for another fun post!!
Hope you have a fantastic weekend!
I love this project Rose! Thanks for providing the dimensions and instructions for making the box.
