Thank you everyone for all your complements on the Star Wars card form Sunday's post!
I would like to give you step by step instructions so that you can make your own Darth Vader and Yoda card or scrapbook page.
I'll start with Darth vader:
You'll need two small tag punches and one curly label punch:
Next take your curly label punch and punch it with the 1 1/4 circle punch like this: (this will be the top of the helmet)
Next take one of the small tag punches and use the five petal flower punch to punch out the "mouth" part of the helmet..like this..
So now you will have these three pieces:
Next clear emboss the following two pieces:
Next use your 1/8 hole punch to make holes for two black brads for the eyes and adhere the three pieces together using dimensional for the front and back tag punches. Like this:
Now use the silver tip of a Ziggy painter to create the mouth piece:
To add dimension to the mouth piece use your scissors and cut two "slits" and fold back like this:
Now for the rest of his body I cut a piece of Basic black cardstock 2 1/4 x 2/1/2 inches and folded back the top corners to make a cape. I used the Word Window Punch to make his arms and real red cardstock strip to make the light saber.
To make the rounded edge of the light saber, I just tucked the end into the Word window punch like this…
Now for Yoda!
His head is made of the following punches…The 1 3/8 circle punch and two of the Extra large Bird punch.
They go together like this:
With the circle on top:
add details with a bone folder:
add brads for the eyes and pencil in his nose and mouth:
here they are once again together!!
And now for the winner of the draw for playing along and guessing which punches I used….
Joanne Mehling!!!
Joanne will receive the following stamp set for her prize. Congratulations Joanne!!!
"see" you tomorrow!!
Thanks Rose!!
