Well..the funniest thing happened……My Big shot has got me using my sewing machine!!
This is funny because any of you who know me …… know that I am not much of a seamstress! Unlike my wonderful Mom who can sew just about anything!! 🙂
One of the ladies form my downline, Heather Sellars (My very first recruit from Newfoundland!) came to Calgary to visit and she was so kind to take a look at my sewing machine and she fixed it for me!! Thanks so much Heather!!
Then we spent a couple of evenings together and worked on these bags using the scallop square die for the Big Shot!
I'm hooked!! Did you know that you can cut up to eight pieces of fabric at once with the Big shot dies??? Unbelievable!! You NEED this machine!!! 🙂
Take a look at my first bag. The scallop squares are sewn "pointing in" for this clean look:
Here's a close up at the flower embellishment that I made using the Fancy Flowers Fold die:
Now I really wanted to try my hand at a "Rag Quilt" bag so I started with a scooby doo bag for my daughter. She loves Scooby Doo! I love how this turned out…you can see the scallop square die here:
Check back tomorrow ….I'll have another "rag quilt" bag to share with you!
Hope your having a great weekend so far!
