Oh my..did you wonder where I was???
My apologies to my loyal blog readers! It's been a busy few days with Amanda's first day of school and extra curricular activities , and Birthday get togethers! Then…. to top it all off my camera started giving me problems and wouldn't let me download pictures onto my computer!!
Thankfully that's all fixed and I am back up and running!!
Here's my daughter blowing out her candles at her 5th birthday….isn't she adorable!! She had a "Build -a Bear" party on Saturday…notice the build a bear die on the balloon behind her? I had to use this die some where for her party! :) I made a few and put them around the house for decorations.
Another thing that kept me busy…. I spent and evening decorating this cake for her… I am a rookie at this but she liked her cake so that was the main thing.
So now for the card share for today… I would like to share with you a technique I did with my club members this month. I love this! I can't stop making things out of metal!!
Did you know that you can cut thin metal with your big shot dies? This card was made using a recycled pop can!
Scroll down for the tutorial on how to do this.
Here's what you do…. Take an empty pop can and cut the sides and flatten.
Run a piece of the can through the big shot the same as you would a piece of paper of cardstock.
Next take your cut out piece and place it inside an embossing folder and emboss the same as paper…
An Voila!! you have your beautiful piece of embossed metal for your card!!
Have fun using your recycled pop cans for this fun project!! I'd love to see some of your creations with metal! E-mail me your pictures of your projects that you create!!
I'll be back tomorrow with some more fun stuff!!
Take Care!
Cute cake & Happy Birthday Amanda!!!
Thanks Lisa!!
