Hello!!!

I am so excited to be feeling better from my cold!! Summer colds have got to be the worst!!

I am also excited to let you know that I have been busy filling my fall schedule with fun new classes and clubs staring in September! Which.. by the way.. is next week!!!! ( I will have a special post tomorrow announcingmy fall calsses and clubs!!) I usually love September…the air gets a little cooler, the leaves change color, people get back into routine and the kids return to school.

Well… this year I have to admit I am a little sad… you see my youngest child (Amanda) is now entering grade one and that means she will be at school ALL day now. **sigh** I will dearly miss our afternoons together, where we come home, have lunch and have the rest of the day together before Andrew and daddy get home. I have been truly blessed to have this opportunity to be at home with her since her birth and I know how fast time flies.

You see, my other child, (Andrew) is entering grade 10! Another Big **sigh **.Senior high, I can't believe it!! Being home and being a Stampin up! demo is so important to me. I LOVE being here when the kids come home from school, when my basement is filled with teenage boys (and Ican make them a plate of nachos). LOL! I Love being in control of my schedule and picking when to work around my children's schedule. This truly is the greatest job ever and I Love to share that with everyone I meet! 🙂

Ok… enough sappy stuff about me… how about some stamping inspiration??

When the Catalogue first came out I fell in love with this background stamp called Sweet Floral. I just love how elegant it is. For this card I inked up the petals with my versamarker and the leaves with the Old olive stampin writer. Then I used the lovely Cherry Cobbler embossing powder on the leaves. The picture does not do justice to the "shininess" on the petals…love it!!

Then I inked up the En Francais background stamp with crumb cake and stamped over top of the flower. The edges are sponged with chocolate chip ink.

For the side, I punched a strip of crumb cake cardstock using the Lace Ribbon Border and I attached 1 inch Cherry Cobbler circles behind to give some contrast.

The little "4 you" is from the stamp set called " Tiny Tags" and it is stamped on a Mini Vintage Tag.

The ribbon is a sneek peek at the lovely Cherry Cobbler Quilted Satin Ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalogue which starts on September 1st. Which, by the way, if you did  not get one of these in the mail yet, please let me know and I'd be happy to send you one!
