Hello!

Wow! What a busy day today!

We have been busy getting ready for our first ever family Rv trip. We are super excited but there's lots to prepare! While Kevin was busy in the garage today, Amanda went out to get him to make her a lemonade stand. They have been talking about it for a while and Amanda has been persistently asking … and today was the day!  What a great time she had with the kids from the cul de sac followed by a fun swim in our neighbors pool! Then we went shopping for a camp lantern and fishing poles!! Fun Stuff!

Ok, so on to today's post! I am in love with this new stamp set from the holiday catalogue. It's called Owl Occasions and what I love most is that it's Birthday, Christmas and anything in between! I made this my first card with this set, to be a birthday card…

For this card, I thought I'd do something a little different with the  fold. The card base is just a piece of Early Espresso cardstock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. Then I cut the two "flaps" which are an Early espresso Oval accents die on the left and an Apothecary framelit die cut on the right.

I ran the Oval accents die cut through the Big Shot with the new Embossing folder called " Wood Grain". Then I scored it down the middle and adhered it under the DSP paper piece to hide it at the back. I did the same on the right flap.

The Designer Series Paper is from the package called Orchard Harvest.

Here's a look at the inside…

To keep the card closed at the front I just adhered two buttons together and then onto the cardstock with gluedots. The right flap just tucks under the button to secure the card. Fun hey?

I hope you like today's card and I'll be back with another project tomorrow and a look at some more display boards.

Hugs,
