Hi there!
Last week I was approached by Amanda's grade one teacher from last year to make a couple of gift cards for two very special kindergarden teachers. The two kindergarden teachers at Amanda's school ( Ms Mielle and Ms Skytte-Shmidt of St Clare) were awarded Excellence in teaching by the Prime Minister of Canada.
These two ladies are very deserving of this award and the whole school, parents, & school board trustees came out to a surprise liturgy in the gym on Friday morning. There were many tears and my heart was warmed by all the stories as two children from each grade from grades k-6 got up and told of their experiences with the two wonderful teachers.
So when I was asked to make a gift card holder, I knew it had to be BIG!!! So,I used a full sheet of cardstock to make these two cards which measure 8 inches x 51/2 inches. On the inside is a "spine" with an insert for the gift card. I used the stamp set called "I Am" that I got at Convention and the sentiment fit these ladies perfectly.
I made the rosette using the Big Shot Rosette die with a strip of designer series paper pack called World Spectacular.
It sure feels nice to make something from the heart for two people who give so much of themselves everyday.
To me… that is what Stampin up! is all about.
Hope you have a heart warming day!!!!
