HI there!
I know it's been a while since my last post and I apologize. The good news is there's lots of great stuff happening and I am eager to share, so let's get started!!
Indeed it was an epic day, as I picked up my sister and her husband at the airport last evening. She ran in the Boston marathon on Monday and needless to say Monday was an emotional rollercoaster! There were a very long, tense 40 minutes where no one had any contact with Barb or her husband, Trent. I know that sounds like a short time but in fact, it felt like an eternity as I watched the horrific pictures on the news.
Thankfully, I received a text from my sister to say that they were ok and they were on their way back to their hotel, 35 miles outside of Boston. The scary part is that my sister crossed over the finish line only 16 minutes before the bombs went off. Her husband was standing in the exact spot where the bombs went off only moments before snapping pictures of her crossing the finish line.
My heart goes out to all those who were affected by this senseless act of violence. Words cannot express how grateful I am to have them both back home safe and sound. Here's a picture of them last night as I picked them up from the airport.
As I sat down to make Barb a card, I took one look at the new stamp set "Feel Goods" set from the Mini Catalogue and I knew it was perfect for this special card!!
I just love this greeting…
The designer series paper I used on this card is from the Epic day dsp that's a part of the "This and That" bundle. I am in love with this new paper!!
Here's a look at the bundle that you can get for 15% off only until April 30th.
Thanks for checking back today! I hope you have a great day!!
Oh Rose! I can’t imagine how those 40 min must have felt. I’m glad she is safe and sound and her husband as well. What a great accomplishment and congrats to her for doing the marathon!
