I have another scrapbook layout to share!
These pages are from my August Scrapbook club. The page on the left was totally inspired by a layout I saw on the Convention display boards by Allana Wharf. It's called the Starburst technique and Dawn Olchefske has a great tutorial here on how to do this on a card. I improvised a bit and made my strips a bit bigger. (2 inches by 6 inches to be exact)
Here's a close up of more of this fun the technique we focused on for the background. I can't wait to use up more of my designer series paper this way. So much fun!!!
Do you notice the background polka dots? Do you recognise where they are from? They are from the Create a Banner kit. It's one of the stencils you get included in the kit. We used a finger dauber and gently rubbed Crumb Cake ink over the circle stencil to make this background. The kit also comes with stripes and a Chevron background also. I can totally see myself using these stencils on cards and of course more scrapbook pages.
Wanna check out this banner kit? Why not attend my class on September 25th and you'll get your very own kit to keep, plus a chocolate chip re-inker and we will make a thankful banner in this cass too!
I hope you like my pages and if you try this technique I'd sure love to see your creations! E-mail me a photo of your project.
