Hello!
Today, I am excited to be playing along with all the other Stampin up! Demos from around the world in Kylie's Demonstrator Training group! This is a group of like minded demonstrators that share ideas and tips on how they run their businesses. It has been a great experience to be a part of this amazing group of successful demonstrators.
For my project today I chose to feature a few of my favourite items.
The awesome New Well Written Framelit dies, the Painted seasons Designer Series paper and the matching Painted Seasons stamp set are the highlights of this card. Don't forget, this gorgeous paper and the stamp set are FREE selections with Sale-A-bration! When you spend $60 you can get the paper for free, if you spend $120, you can get both the paper and the stamp set!! Yahoo!!
The card base is Early Espresso and I've used a layer of Poppy Parade measuring 4 x 5¼ inches. I ran the Poppy parade layer through the big Shot embossing folder called Layered Leaves. I love the subtle effect of the embossed background.
For the front layers, I cut both the DSP and whisper white cardstock to be 2¼ x 3¼ inches and I used the corner rounder from the Detailed Trio punch to round the opposite edges. My white cardstock piece just has a small ¾ inch strip of the same pattern of the dsp (just the reverse pattern is showing). I love that we can use both sides of dsp and it always coordinates. I also used the tiny stamps from the Painted Seasons stamp set to stamp the edges of the white cardstock.
I used the Poppy Parade dark Blends to ink up a few Basic Pearls for my embellishments.
But I think my favourite part of this card is the greeting. Gosh, I love these new Well Written Framelit dies on page 27 of the Occasions Catalogue! The set comes with 24 dies and there's an awesome Well Said stamp set that coordinates too! I just used a small piece of Early espresso cardstock and attached to to a small piece of Multipurpose adhesive sheet and ran it through the Big Shot. SO EASY!! Then I just had to remove the wax covering and my words already had adhesive on them 🙂
We were using these dies at my last stamp club meeting and one of the ladies, Alex, had the idea to just snip the "S" off the word "Thanks" to make the word Thank. Genius!!
I can always use lots of Thank you cards so I ended up making a bunch of these…
I hope you like my card today and I hope you'll keep "hopping" along to visit all the people on the list below:
